Science Fact of the Month: NeilBohr expanded onthe Atomic model.Keep scrolling to check out our brief excerpt of the life of Bohr which includes general personal information and his significant contributions this brilliant man made to the Scientific community.
Neil Bohr was a Danish physcist lived for 82 years from October 7 1985 to November 18 1962.NeilBohr helped form our current basic understanding of quantim machenics and more importantly for our current subject matter, the atomic structure. His efforts won him the nobel prize in the year 1922.He developed the atomic theory in the year 1913.Bohr was also able to this by expanding on his teacher’s understandings/theories.Bohr’s published theory outlined that electrons[negatively charged particles] revolved around the nucleus and the chemical properties of elements were based strongly on the number of electrons on the outer orbit. One of Neil’s son, Agae Neils Bohr won the nobel prize of 1975 for his work as a physcist.Indeed he followed his father’s succesfully marked footsteps.
