Actress, Wendi McLendon-Covey recently guest starred as a lesbian mother on ABC’S Modern Family, according to a report from Entertainment Weekly. The Bridesmaid actress will now portray a character who is the mother of a kindergartener who gets involved in a fight with Lilly. Her partner will be portrayed by actress Michaela Watkins, who is a SNL alum.
The actress will appear in the third episode of the coming season and has expressed her delight in portraying a character with a different type of personality than the type she typically portrays.The actress elaborated on this in her interview with the site stating that “I usually play someone who hates her kids — this time I love my child!”
McLendon-Covey also has other projects lined up for the coming month, including her work next month on CBS’ Rifles of Engagement for two episodes to wrap up an existing storyline as well as remake of the British sitcom, Only Fools and Horses for a pilot known as Kings of Van Nuys.
