Top carnivores are animals that are at the fourth [top]tropic level .While they are alive, top carnivores are not eaten as they are essentially at the top of the food chain.Furthermore, top carnvores feed upon secondary consumers [third tropic level creatures]. It should, however benoted that top carnivores are ultimately fed upon by decomposers.
One example of a top carnivore is the great white shark which is found in oceans.
