Robert Carlyle Wins Gemini Awards

Indeed the cast of  Stargate Universe  have much to be proud of after its recent accomplishment at the 25  annual Gemini  Awards on November 13 2010. The series’ lead actor, Robert Carlyle was bestowed with the award for the Best  Performance By An Actor in A Continuing Leading Dramatic Role.  Carlyle received this award for his performance of his lead role on Stargate Universe as Dr. Nicholas Rush on series inaugural season episode, Human.

The Gemini awards, of-course, are the annual  television broadcasting awards  for the Canadian film  and television industry

Congratulations are extended to Robert Carlyle  for his  outstanding achievement and to the rest of the cast and crew of Stargate Universe. Recognition  from the Gemini Awards  is a huge accomplishment which deserves great celebration!

Little Mosque on the Prairie Receives Three Gemini Nominations

Indeed it  is a  celebratory time for the cast and crew of Little Mosque on the Prairie, after the series  was bestowed with  three nominations for  the 25th annual  Gemini  Awards.

The  series  was nominated for the category of the  Best Comedy Series or  Program award.  Two of the series’ directors were  also nominated for  The Best Direction in a Comedy Series or Program. Director, Michael Kennedy  was nominated  for his   exceptional  directing of the   program’s season four  finale, A Lease Too Far. Director, Jim Allodi was also nominated for his directing of the fourth season episode entitled, Keeping the Faith.

These set of  Gemini awards are the first for Little Mosque on the Prairie since the series’ debut in January   2007.

The Gemini awards, of-course, are the annual  television broadcasting awards  for the Canadian film  and television industry.The 25th Gemini Awards Ceremony will be hosted by the Industry Gala Presentations  from Tuesday, November 2 2010- Wednesday, November 3 2010 at  the Kool Haus Entertainment Complex in Toronto.The  broadcast gala will also be streamed live on November 13 2010 on Global and Showcase.
